King Metal Strips Plant
King’s production process begins with in-house casting of our unique alloys. King R&D department adapts the technologies for developing and implementation of innovative bearing materials such as high strength aluminum alloys, lead free and extremely strong bronzes.
King Engine Bearings has 2 principal technologies:
- Steel-aluminum strips- the technology includes continuous casting of various aluminum bearing alloys in form of coiled strips, which are then rolled, bonded to steel strips and annealed for ensuring adhesion and strength.
- Steel-bronze strips- the strips are produced in continuous sintering furnace of tunnel type.
King Plating Plant
King plating plant performs deposition of various overlays.King R&D actively develop innovative coatings to meet the challenging demands of the existing and emerging engine applications.
Automatic electroplating lines produce leaded overlays (including King proprietary pMax Black™), lead free tin based and silver based overlays.
King utilizes PVD technology (physical vapor deposition) to produce lead free sputter overlay and anti -friction polymer coating developed by King TechLab unit.
