Cedar Grove, N.J. – King Engine Bearings is pleased to present its new advanced bearing materials at the Automechanika Frankfurt Show September 16-20th, 2014. Modern engines development together with governmental environmental restrictions lead King to develop new advanced bearing materials which are environmental friendly on one hand and can withstand greater load on the other hand.
King’s R&D unit — the TechLab have been developing a selection of lead free materials to meet the demand of high load capacity and environmental restrictions. The first tri-metal lead free material, SV, is a silver based overlay material containing solid lubricant additives. Silver is being offered exclusively by King to the aftermarket and is considered a cost effective sputter replacement. It has an identical features load capacity and conformability as the sputter material while its cost around 30% less to the end user.
«We were seeking for an economical solution for high load engines to replace the currently used sputter.» Said Omer Zaslavskey, King marketing& sales director. «Our silver based aftermarket bearings are both environmental friendly and also can carry extreme loads».
King will also introduce its sputter bearings line and a strengthened aluminum based material.
In addition to that King will also exhibit its new Racing XP bearings that feature a proprietary pMax Black™ tri-metal composition that is combined with unique geometric features, resulting in a 24 percent load capacity increase over standard race bearings.
