King Hits The Bull’s Eye

King Bearings outperforms industry in wall thickness consistency study performed by SGS S.A.
Although manufacturers can’t control most of the issues faced by engine builders, consistent bearing wall thickness is entirely within a manufacturer’s production capability. A bearing’s thickness should match the specified value within a tight tolerance. – the greater the variance, the greater the chance that intermittent metal-to-metal contact may result in bearing failures due to seizure or excessive wear.
An independent investigation by SGS S.A. – a multinational testing and certification company from Germany – put identical bearings from six different leading manufacturers to the test. King bearings exhibited the best results in variance and standard deviation.
